East Jakarta KPUD Commissioner, Rio Verieza, said the folding of 2,435,878 ballots are run at Pulogadung Industrial Area logistic warehouse, Cakung.  

The ballots then will be distributed to 10 sub-district warehouses together with other logistics.

"In general, the logistics of the Jakarta Pilkada are all safe. Starting from the ballot boxes, voting booths, seals, ink, cable ties and ballots," he said, Wednesday (10/23).

According to Rio, all Pilkada logistics have been received from vendors and put into the logistics warehouse at the city level. Ballot boxes are being assembled today and will be distributed to the sub-district level warehouse later.

The number of ballot boxes received was 40,164 boxes and there were 14,560 voting booths. While the number of polling stations was 4,144 and if added with reserves it became 4,164 polling stations.

Meanwhile, for the ballot papers, 119 sheets were found to be damaged from the factory. His side has made a report and submitted it to the vendor to be replaced. The replacement process is currently underway.

Rio explained the process of folding the ballots involved 316 experienced professionals and the local community. The workers must leave their belongings or bags outside the warehouse.

"It is aimed to anticipate the occurrence of lost ballots or indications of fraudulent acts," he stated.
